Jeff and Glenda had been loosely acquainted for years. Fast forward a decade, and Jeff began attending the same church Glenda had been a part of for quite some time. After a few weeks of spending time together in group settings with their church family, Jeff finally worked up the courage to ask Glenda out. She said yes right away—but with two clear conditions: 1) no kissing on the first date, and 2) no sleeping together, period. To her surprise (and delight), Jeff didn’t hesitate—he wholeheartedly agreed. Their first date was on a Wednesday evening after church at Hoot n’ Nannies in Forest City, NC. They shared cheese curds, wings, and deep conversation until the place closed for the night. Very early on, they talked openly about the difference between the world’s view of dating and a biblical one. Together, they committed to putting God at the center of their relationship. From group motorcycle rides and live concerts to raising funds for children in crisis across North Carolina, they found comfort, joy, and purpose in each other’s presence. She taught him how to live again, and he taught her what it means to be truly loved. The rest, as they say, is history. (P.S. She made him wait a month for their first kiss, and they are honoring God in their relationship by waiting until marriage to sleep together.)

Gary has been Jeff’s brother, lifelong teammate, and sometimes partner in crime. From childhood antics to adult adventures, they’ve shared it all—laughs, challenges, and plenty of questionable decisions (most of which won’t be mentioned here).

Standing by his brother’s side today, Gary is honored to support him—not just by holding the rings but by sharing stories, smiles, and maybe a few jokes that toe the line between funny and embarrassing.

Now, she gets the honor of being Glenda’s Maid of Honor and official partner-in-crime for this wedding!

With her quick wit, endless energy, and a heart full of love, Maizie is ready to keep things fun, fabulous, and unforgettable as she helps Glenda say “I do.”

All ceremony and reception areas are fully wheelchair accessible. • Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?The ceremony will be held outdoors in the early afternoon, followed by a mocktail hour and then a reception (both indoors). In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to a covered area on-site. • Are children welcome?Yes, children are welcome! We love your little ones and are happy to have them celebrate with us. We do kindly ask that if your child becomes fussy or disruptive during the ceremony, you step away to a quiet area to help them settle.
